NOWSA 2017 will be held at the Australian National University (ANU). During this early stage of planning, the 2017 NOWSA Organising Collective is working to ensure that all conference rooms are accessible in various ways. This includes wheelchair accessibility, visual and audio arrangements, short walking distances between rooms, and a variety of “chill-out” spaces with craft and other activities for those attendees that need to take some time to themselves.
NOWSA believes that all individuals have the right to a safe space. NOWSA 2017 will endeavour to be a safe space free from sexism, racism, transphobia, queerphobia, and abelism.
NOWSA believes that each and every individual deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. Attendees who breach safe spaces will not be tolerated.

As mentioned above, there will be accessible conference rooms available at NOWSA. In addition to this, there will also be a variety of food options for attendees with food allergies, restrictions, or other dietary requirements. To let us know other ways to be accessible for all, there will be space in the NOWSA 2017 enrollment form to express how we can help. Alternatively, please email the NOWSA 2017 Organising Committee with any accessibility requests.
