The NOWSA 2017 Organising Committee would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which the NOWSA conference is being held, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples. We wish to pay our respect to Elders past and present, and thank all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who helped us on our NOWSA journey.
The Network of Women Students Australia (NOWSA) was founded on ideals of creating a grassroots, autonomous network concerned with issues that impact upon women’s lives. The first NOWSA conference was held at the Australian National University (ANU) in 1987, and in 2017 on its 30th anniversary, the NOWSA conference will again be hosted at ANU!
NOWSA 2017 at ANU will include keynote speeches delivered by high profile women, workshops and panels on the different experiences of women, and social events with opportunities to network with other women students. NOWSA 2017 will cover a range of topics, from feminism, gender, and sexuality, to education, work, postgraduate study, and international issues.
The 2017 NOWSA conference will be held from the 16th to 22nd of July. Stay connected with your university women’s collective, and click on our registration link to sign up today!
